New Pokémon TV Series "Trainer Tour" premiering July 31st, 2024
"a first-of-its-kind entertainment series"
The Pokémon Company has announced a brand new Pokémon TV series called “Trainer Tour” that’s coming to streaming platforms Prime Video and Roku tomorrow, July 31st, 2024. Unlike other Pokémon series, this one is not an animated adventure. Instead, it will be a live-action series in which its hosts travel across the country talking to fans of the Pokémon Trading Card Game.
The series will feature a total of eight episodes, and it will be hosted by content creators Meghan Camarena (Strawburry17), and Andrew Mahone (Tricky Gym). In each episode, the hosts will seek out Pokémon TCG players in order to talk to them and their families about their passion for the game. The Senior Director of media direction at the Pokémon Company described the show as follows:
“‘Pokémon: Trainer Tour’ is a first-of-its-kind entertainment series for The Pokémon Company International, spotlighting individuals from Pokémon’s incredibly diverse fan base. While the Trainers recount their own unique life experiences in each episode, they all share a love for the Pokémon brand and Pokémon TCG. We hope that this passion extends to our viewers, providing a glimpse of what it means to be part of the Pokémon community. This series offers fans an inside look into the varied experiences and heartfelt stories of some of the Trainers who make up the diverse array of Pokémon fans, and we’re so grateful to have had the opportunity to showcase how connections are fostered through the Pokémon TCG.”
Trainer Tour will be available to stream on Prime Video and Roku beginning July 31st, 2024. The first episode will also be made available for free on YouTube, so you can check it out no matter what services you’re signed up for.
